What’s New – 2024

The Bota Bota crew is glad to announce new offerings for its passengers this year!

WATER CIRCUIT
AUDIO-GUIDE

Passengers can now enjoy guided meditations in the River Sauna and our brand-new Meditation Room.

Our three guides offer a variety of experiences to appeal to a wide audience.

  • Vanessa DL is an author and yoga teacher. She provides a visualization exercise in the sauna as well as a guided stress management meditation for the relaxation part of the circuit.
  • Sébastien Zappa specializes in conscious breathing and cold exposure. His scientific approach in the sauna helps participants withstand the heat longer and prepare for the cold bath immersion stage.
  • Jessica Mong is a massage therapist at Bota Bota. Her nautical-themed guidance in the sauna and meditation room includes stretching exercises, among other things.

Guided meditations are available every hour and are offered in both French and English.

POLARIS FACIAL

The Polaris treatment, from the Babor care range, is newly available on board. This facial combines the benefits of cold therapy and sculpting gua sha to help reduce puffiness, signs of fatigue and firm the appearance of skin, for an immediate lifting and radiant effect.

RECONNEXION THURSDAYS

Thursday at Bota Bota will focus on community.

Although silence and disconnection from technology have been important values for Bota Bota since its inception, we acknowledge that the spa experience can also be a social one. That’s why, on these Thursdays, we’ll allow passengers to speak in soft voices on the boat (as well as in the gardens, as usual). Limited cellphone use will also be permitted to avoid disrupting other passengers’ experiences.

Various activities are planned to maximize the benefits of this community spirit and will be an opportunity to raise funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association.

This initiative is part of a series of actions already carried out by Bota Bota and which reached more than $77,000 in the last year.

SEASON 3 OF THE ANCHOR POINT PODCAST

This podcast introduces personalities for whom well-being is the keystone of their career, their initiatives or their profession so that they can share their enriching experiences and inspire the public.

Season 3 addresses the theme of anchoring. As much anchoring to your community and your adopted country as anchoring yourself.

The first 3 guests of the season are:

  • Xavier Watso, indigenous activist, content creator, columnist and, until recently, high school drama teacher
  • Sasha Alcoloumbre, former figure skating athlete, Essentrics and Pilates teacher and film director
  • The Portraits de Montréal team, which walks the streets of the city to meet Montrealers and their stories

COLLABORATION WITH ANTOINE GÉLINAS-BEAULIEU

Bota Bota is proud to collaborate and support Olympic speed skater Antoine Gélinas-Beaulieu in his quest for balance with all the demands of his field as a high-level athlete.

We will follow him throughout his competitive season, as he aspires to the highest honors while putting his talents as a director to work to accompany us on his journey.
