Word from the Captain

February, the unpopular month!

Have you ever thought about the irony of February, host of the most romantic celebration, but often unloved by northern countries? How did this cold and snowy month, where everything is perfectly motionless, become the ideal moment to melt hearts and offer delicate flowers such as roses?

I like to think that this celebration is a good occasion to allow ourselves to enjoy a little happiness and heat, both of which are necessary to help us go through the coldest month of the year. Whether you like hot chocolates by the fireplace, a romantic dinner at the restaurant or a dozen roses and a love note delivered at work, it’s okay to let your corny side shine through just for the space of a day. You should try, what’s the worst that can happen? You can always have a good laugh about it later.

Without further ado, in this special Valentine’s Day edition, we present you our February favourites : original gift ideas inspired by wellness and made by Canadian companies, a delicious romantic menu to share with your better half and our Ice Breaker package made for two. We also wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to the 5th edition of the Montreal Ice Canoe Challenge which will be held this Sunday February 12th, where you will have the opportunity to watch Mylène Paquette, most famous for successfully crossing the atlantic ocean, face the icy Saint-Laurent river.
