An escape through nature
“Nature offers both that which nourishes the body and heals it, marvels the soul, the heart and the mind.” Pierre Rabhi
Do you feel this sense of well-being when you contemplate a landscape? They provide a sense of wonder, a unique and magical moment. Although nature has created them immutable, they show a different face depending on the season, the light, the weather to which they are exposed.
Nature, our ally in well-being
The world is changing and with it our way of life. While we are bombarded with gloomy information, the invitation to relax has never been so eagerly awaited. Well-being has been placed in third position in the Sustainable Development Goals set up by the United Nations. It is therefore essential to understand it! And what if some of the answers lie in what we have always known; nature?
The influence of our environment has been studied extensively.
Research has shown that natural environments not only help us recharge our batteries but also increase our well-being. A simple walk in the forest or in the countryside can increase our happiness.
Ode to the landscape
Free your emotions by contemplating different landscapes, feel the liberating effect and your stress melt away. Let the quiet power of nature carry you away.
Go on an adventure, there are beautiful walks near Montreal. Put on your trainers and explore the hilly trails and enjoy the fresh air.
Just 30 minutes from downtown Montreal, you’ll find the Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno. These 25 km of hiking trails and 5 lakes offer a space where escapism is mixed with a change of scenery.
Located 1 hour from Montreal, Mont Saint Hilaire invites you to take the high road. Marvel at the different aspects of nature between viewpoints, lake and forest.
If the panoramas appeal to you, allow you to put things into perspective and relax, we recommend the Mont Tremblant National Park or the Mont Mégantic, both 2.5 hours away. Once you reach the summits, you’ll be overlooking some magnificent scenery. Put your daily worries into perspective by observing the fascinating beauty of nature as it changes with the seasons.
An urban nature break
In the city too, nature is a source of well-being. Free yourself from the storm of pollution, bustle, noise and construction. Take a break in the parks and various green spaces. Mount Royal remains our favourite, where you can forget the frenzy of the city and feel like you’re in the countryside. Get lost off the beaten track, in the heart of the forest. Listen out for the sounds of nature, with the chirping of birds and the gentle sound of the wind. If your heart is set on greenery, choose Maisonneuve Park. These 63 hectares promise you a moment of relaxation, far from the bustle of the city. Finally, Lafontaine Park offers you a relaxing break. Sit by the fountain and watch the waltz of the walkers.
Enjoy the escape.
