The cherubim
Children, they come into our lives and transform it immediately in a way we could have never imagined. From then on, time flies by. Sometimes we want it to stop, so we can savour these moments a little more. Our children, so small and yet so big at the same time.
Children teach us how to slow down and (re)learn us how to take our time. A book read together, a walk to observe the snails after the rain or an afternoon in the park, simple activities that help us escape, despite ourselves and thanks to them, the frantic waltz of life. By their sides, we live moments forever immersed in our memories that mark the passage of time, a swarm of first and last times that make us grow a little more each time.
At the heart of everyday life, we surprise ourselves by reproducing all the common gestures that our parents used to do so often for us when we were small and that were so full of love. Sweet words, habits, many of those small traditions that have forged the lives of our family for generations.
