- A Trip to the Moon (14 min)
At a meeting of the Astronomers’ Club, Professor Barbenfouillis, president of the club, surprises the audience by presenting his plan for a trip to the Moon. He takes his colleagues to visit the workshop where the space capsule is under construction. It will be launched towards the Moon by a giant cannon 300 meters long, carrying six astronomer-scientists, including Barbenfouillis himself.
- The Impossible Voyage (21 min)
Engineer Maboulof presents a spectacular plan to the Institute of Incoherent Geography: using a revolutionary vehicle he invented—the Automaboulof—he proposes a voyage not just to the Moon, but to the Sun itself. The proposal is unanimously approved, but the journey, as one might expect, is far from peaceful. - The Merry Frolics of Satan (17 min)
English engineer William Crackford, obsessed with speed records, sells his soul to the alchemist Alcofrisbas—who is none other than Satan—in exchange for magical pills that allow him to travel at will. Princess Azurine is betrothed to Prince Bel-Azor in the presence of their fairy godmothers. However, the King forgets to invite the Witch, who, in a fit of rage, takes revenge by abducting Azurine in her sleep. Bel-Azor sets out to rescue her, aided by the fairy Aurora. After many adventures and trials, he saves her and they marry amid great celebrations at the royal court.
