Our manicurists give you 5 tips for an easy do-it-yourself nail art (even better with a friend!)<br \/>\nStart by putting a layer of transparent base on all your nails.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/minuit-au-botabota.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4410\" title=\"minuit-au-botabota\" src=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/minuit-au-botabota.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 &#8211; Midnight at Bota Bota \u2013 3-colour gradient<\/strong><br \/>\nMaterial : 1 toothpick or hairpin + makeup sponge + cotton swab + nail polish remover<\/p>\n<p>Apply three thick and generous lines of each colour on the sponge (from dark to light:<em> Hugs, Illume, Thunder Road<\/em> and <em>White Light<\/em>)<br \/>\nTap the nail with the sponge (the darker line closer to the base of the nail)<br \/>\nLet dry slightly and repeat the previous two steps until it\u2019s opaque.<br \/>\nDuring the last application, quickly apply a coat of protective polish before the colours dry. It will strech the colours nicely.<br \/>\nFinish by cleaning the contour of the nail with a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover.<\/p>\n<p>Spa Ritual nail polish used: <em>Illume, Thunder Road <\/em>and<em> White Light.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dans-notre-jardin.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4408\" title=\"dans-notre-jardin\" src=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/dans-notre-jardin.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2 \u2013 In our garden <\/strong><br \/>\nMaterial : 1 cut toothpick.<\/p>\n<p>Apply 2 coats of colour (<em>Poppy<\/em>) and let dry.<br \/>\nPlace a drop of polish in a different colour (<em>Crystal Eyes<\/em>) on the round end of the toothpick. You can also place some polish on a piece of foil and soak the toothpick in.<br \/>\nHold the toothpick straight and apply the polish to create five points to form the petals.<br \/>\nChange colour (<em>Looking Glass<\/em>) and apply one last drop to form the centre of the flower.<br \/>\nIf you wish, you can use the other pointed end of the toothpick to draw small lines between the petals with the same colour as the flower\u2019s centre (<em>Looking Glass<\/em>).<br \/>\nImportant: let dry (minimum 10 minutes) before applying the layer of protective varnish.<\/p>\n<p>Spa Ritual nail polish used: <em>Poppy, Crystal Eyes<\/em> and <em>Looking Glass.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/french-fluo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4409\" title=\"french-fluo\" src=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/french-fluo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3 &#8211; Funky French tip <\/strong><br \/>\nMaterial: cotton swab + nail polish remover<\/p>\n<p>Apply 2 dashes of fluorescent polish (<em>Dreamsicle<\/em>) diagonally on the nail in two layers to form an inverted \u201cV\u201d shape.<br \/>\nClean the edges of the nail and smooth lines as needed using a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover.<br \/>\nFinish with a layer of protective varnish.<\/p>\n<p>Spa Ritual nail polish used: <em>Dreamsicle.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/racing-car.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4412\" title=\"racing-car\" src=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/racing-car.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>4 &#8211; Va va vroom<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Choose four colours in the same tints or shades (from dark to light: <em>Hugs, Illume, Thunder Road<\/em> and <em>White light<\/em>).<br \/>\nApply the darker color over the entire nail (<em>Hugs<\/em>).<br \/>\nLet dry then superimpose a narrower band in the middle of the nail with the second colour (<em>Illume<\/em>).<br \/>\nRepeat with the third colour (<em>Thunder Road<\/em>) narrowing the band.<br \/>\nFinish with a thin white line in the centre of the nail with the last colour (<em>white light<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Spa Ritual nail polish used: <em>Hugs, Illume, Thunder Road <\/em>et<em> White Light.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/chain-on-you.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4407\" title=\"chain-on-you\" src=\"http:\/\/botabota.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/chain-on-you.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>5 &#8211;
